 What went on Where in Windsor Castle Here is a view of Windsor Castle as it looked in about 1344. Many castles were laid out on a similar plan, although Windsor was unique in having two baileys (the walled areas either side of the tower on its mound) rather than one. Within the circuit walls, there were lots of different buildings. Click on the numbers for a description of each place and then guess what it was and what went on there.
