Prince's Manor
Harwell, Berkshire

Prince's Manor is the main manor of Harwell, where it stands next to the church. It is a very ancient medieval building which was named after the Black Prince who owned the house for some years. He generally lived, only eight miles away, at Wallingford Castle when he was in England. However, he must have visited Harwell from time to time as he certainly knew the local Atte Hall family and sponsored their son in his rise through the Church. He eventually became Bishop of Bath & Wells.

Prince's Manor is a private residence. It stands at the east end of Harwell Church and can be clearly seen over the wall.
